Faculty Teaching Support

Unfortunately, plagiarism is a reality that threatens the integrity of legal scholarship.

FIU Law Faculty have access to FIU's Turnitin to check works for plagiarism. There are two methods to access and use TurnItIn:

1. Canvas Integration. For those faculty utilizing FIU Canvas for their course LMS, Turnitin is integrated in your online course.
2. Non-Canvas Courses. For those faculty utilizing TWEN or other LMS, FIU Educational Technology Services (ETS) provides access to TurnItIn.

Faculty utilizing FIU Canvas for their LMS have Turnitin Feedback Studio integrated in their online Canvas course.

Who supports your TurnItIn depends on the format of your course:

• FIU ETS provides support services for face-to-face courses. Contact etshelp@fiu.edu to obtain access to Turnitin Feedback Studio in your FIU Canvas course. Provide your course ####, FIU username and Panther ID.
• FIU Online provides support services for distance learning courses. Check with your instructional designer for more information if you are an FIU Online course.

Faculty utilizing TWEN or Lexis Classroom for their LMS can obtain Turnitin access through FIU ETS.

FIU ETS provides support services for all face-to-face courses regardless of LMS.
