What is SSRN

Social Science Research Network (SSRN) is a world wide collaborative of over 246,600 authors and more than 1.7 million users that is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of social science research. Founded in 1994, it is composed of a number of specialized research networks in each of the social sciences. Each of SSRN's networks encourages the early distribution of research results by reviewing and distributing submitted abstracts and full text papers from scholars around the world. SSRN encourages readers to communicate directly with other subscribers and authors concerning their own and other's research.

The Legal Scholarship Network (LSN) distributes quality research related to law, economics, and business in 61 different subject areas.

Follow the instructions below to boost your scholarship's impact:

  1. Submit Directly to FIU Law’s RPS
    When you post your works through SSRN, please
    1. submit them as a Work in Progress (select "WPS" radio button)
    2. agree that the paper has appeared or will be selected to appear in a Paper Series (select the radio button for “Yes”) and;
    3. search for and choose FIU Law's RPS by typing "Florida" into the search box. (FIU Law’s RPS is first in the results list, screenshot below.)
      Note: Not only will this acceptance step streamline our RPS distribution, but your work will also be posted to SSRN days earlier than normal as you will side-step the regular queue. Win-win!

  2. Subscribe to our Series and boost Social Media impact by reposting SSRN’s social shares
    If you are on X/Twitter or LinkedIn, like and subscribe to SSRN’s channels. By subscribing to our RPS, you will be notified of each distribution of FIU Law’s RPS, and accompanying social media posts from SSRN, which you can reshare to boost scholarly impact.
  3. Abstract # is now FIU Law’s RPS #
    Starting with our first distribution of 2024, your works have one # to identify them in SSRN: the Abstract #. No more waiting for a cover page, no more delays in distribution to correct sequencing in the RPS.
