Professor’s Personal Materials

  • Faculty members may place their personal copies, regardless of format, on reserve. The Law Library will process the materials and file it under course reserves.  Faculty members may choose the loan period from the following available options: 2 hours, 1 day, 3 days and 7 days. If the loan period is not indicated then it will be set automatically to the default of 2 hours.

Items Owned by the Law Library

  • General Collection books will be placed on temporary reserve upon faculty members’ request. The material may be held for a period of an entire semester or longer, as requested by the faculty member.

Items Not Owned by the Law Library

  • Faculty members can make a New Materials Request to request the purchase of a title not currently owned by the Law Library. New materials will be placed in the faculty's course reserves as soon as it is received and processed by the Law Library.
  • Generally, the Law Library does not acquire textbooks unless requested by faculty for their classes.
  • No material, of any format, acquired through Interlibrary Loan may be placed on reserve.

Please make your Course Reserve requests through Ask a Librarian. A link is in the box to the left.
